From Boyfriend to baby

Louis stirred in his sleep, completely unaware of what was happening around him. The soft glow of morning light seeped into the room, casting a warm glow over the bed. He was still deep in slumber, curled up on his side with his back facing the room. His girlfriend, Jenna, was already awake, sitting at the edge of the bed, watching him quietly.

A soft smirk played at the corner of Jenna's lips as her eyes trailed down his body, eventually landing on the unmistakable bulge of his diaper under the covers. The thick, padded outline peeked out just above the waistband of his gray pajama pants. She bit her lip, amused. Louis, her strong, independent boyfriend, had been wearing diapers to bed for a few weeks now—part of the "unpotty training" they had both decided to explore. He had been embarrassed at first, and even more so as the weeks went on, especially since he had started using them.

And this morning? The familiar sag of the diaper told her everything she needed to know.

With a quiet giggle, Jenna gently lifted the edge of the blanket, exposing more of his padded bottom. The diaper was swollen, the once pristine white now a subtle yellowish tint, sagging slightly from the weight of the wetness it had absorbed during the night.

She smiled to herself, shaking her head. He had been so resistant at first—at least until a few nights ago, when his "accidents" had started happening. Now, it seemed like he was waking up wet nearly every morning.

"Poor baby," she whispered teasingly, knowing full well that he wouldn’t hear her.

Her phone buzzed again, this time with a message from Megan:

He stretched, the thick diaper between his legs squishing loudly as he did. It took him a second, but as he moved, he felt the familiar bulk of the soggy padding and winced. He didn’t even have to check—he knew what had happened.

“Jenna…” he muttered, his voice still groggy with sleep. He hadn’t fully processed the situation yet, but he could feel the warmth of his wet diaper against his skin, and that was enough to make his cheeks flush with embarrassment.

Jenna smiled down at him, brushing his hair out of his face with gentle fingers. “Good morning, baby. Sleep well?”

Louis groaned, burying his face in the pillow. “I… yeah, but…” He trailed off, knowing exactly what she was going to say next.

“But you’re all soggy again, aren’t you?” she teased, running her hand over the blanket-covered bulge of his diaper.

Louis winced, avoiding her gaze. “Yeah…”

Jenna laughed softly, giving his padded bum a playful pat through the blanket. “Don’t worry, sweetheart. Mommy’s got you. Let’s get you changed into a fresh nappy for the day, okay?”

Louis sighed, nodding quietly. He knew he didn’t have much choice in the matter.  But as Jenna got up to grab the supplies from the changing table, he couldn’t shake the feeling of just how much control she had over him. And deep down, part of him didn’t mind it at all.

Helping Hands

Louis shifted uncomfortably in his seat as Jenna drove them to Claire and Tony’s house. He could feel the dampness of his soggy diaper pressing against his skin, making the soft padding heavier than usual. The bulk between his legs forced his thighs apart, and every bump in the road reminded him of just how soaked he was. He tried his best to sit still, but the squish of the diaper with each movement only heightened his embarrassment.

Jenna glanced over at him with a soft smile, reaching over to give his knee a reassuring pat. “You okay over there, baby?”

Louis blushed, nodding stiffly. “Y-yeah… just, um… it’s a little…” He trailed off, not wanting to admit out loud that his diaper was uncomfortably wet. He had been hoping Jenna would change him before they left, but she had told him it could wait until they arrived at Claire’s. Now, as they neared their destination, he regretted not pushing harder for that change.

“Don’t worry, sweetheart,” Jenna cooed, clearly picking up on his discomfort. “We’ll get you all sorted out when we get to Claire’s. And Tony’s really excited to see you today.”

Louis winced at the mention of Tony. While he and Tony had always gotten along, Tony had taken to his own regression with a lot more enthusiasm than Louis had. In fact, Tony loved his new toddler-like lifestyle. Every time they hung out, Tony would gush about how much he loved his diapers and how free he felt not having to worry about “big boy” things anymore. It wasn’t that Louis didn’t like certain parts of it too, but Tony’s over-the-top enthusiasm was a bit overwhelming.

They pulled into Claire and Tony’s driveway, and Louis felt his heart race as Jenna parked the car. She came around to his side, opening the door and helping him out. As he stood up, the familiar crinkle of his diaper echoed in the quiet air, a constant reminder of his new reality. Jenna took his hand, leading him to the front door.

Before they could even knock, the door flew open, revealing Tony standing there with a huge grin on his face. His shortalls, with the unmistakable bulge of his diaper underneath, made him look just as babyish as ever.

“Louis!” Tony exclaimed, bounding forward and pulling Louis into a tight hug. “I’m so glad you’re here, man! I heard you’re back in daytime diapers too!” Tony’s excitement was palpable, and Louis couldn’t help but feel both amused and slightly embarrassed by his friend’s enthusiasm.

Louis forced a small smile. “Yeah, I guess so…” he muttered, trying not to draw too much attention to the fact that he was already soggy.

Tony didn’t seem to notice his awkwardness. “This is awesome! You’re gonna love it. Claire’s been keeping me in diapers all day, and let me tell you, it’s the best. No more worrying about anything!” He gave Louis a playful nudge. “And I bet you’re super comfy, huh?”

Louis opened his mouth to protest, but Jenna beat him to it. “That sounds like a great idea, Tony,” she said with a grin, her hand resting on Louis’s shoulder to keep him from backing away. “Why don’t you take Louis upstairs and get him all set up in one of your favorite diapers? I’m sure he’ll appreciate the change.”

Louis’s eyes widened. “Jenna, I don’t—”

But before he could finish his sentence, Tony had grabbed his hand and was leading him toward the stairs. “Come on, buddy! This is gonna be great. You’re gonna love these diapers. Trust me!”

Louis shot Jenna a pleading look over his shoulder, but she just waved playfully and mouthed, “Have fun!”

As they reached Tony’s room, Louis noticed the shelves stacked with neatly folded diapers in various colors and patterns. Tony had clearly embraced his new lifestyle with gusto. Louis felt his stomach flip as Tony pulled out a particularly thick diaper decorated with playful babyish prints.

“This one’s my favorite,” Tony said proudly, holding it up. “Super comfy, and it holds a lot. Plus, the powder I use is great for unpotty training.” He winked at Louis, clearly excited to share his knowledge. “It makes it so much easier to just… let go, you know?”

Louis hesitated for a moment but eventually laid down on the mat, feeling the squish of his wet diaper beneath him. He could hardly believe this was happening—being changed like this, as if they were two toddlers at a playdate.

Tony grabbed a bottle of baby powder and, with a grin, began sprinkling a generous amount onto Louis’s bare skin. The cool powder felt refreshing, and the scent filled the room, reminding Louis just how far he had fallen into this new lifestyle.

I’ve just been rereading old favorites, which is a joy, but I’m hankering for something new to surprise me and capture me. I’m open to anything but have particular soft spots for:

- narrators or POV characters with distinctive, atypical voices, perspectives, or assumptions who make an ordinary or extraordinary world more interesting by being seen through their lens (ex. Martha Wells’ Murderbot, owlet’s This, You Protect)

- clever, precise plotting and storytelling such that final conclusions or reveals click together like delightful, unexpected but perfectly predictable clockwork— the sort that you can see obviously in the first chapter but only after you’ve read the last page; stories where the authors trust the reader to pay attention and figure stuff out (ex. Megan Whalen Turner’s The Queen’s Thief series, The Westing Game, Pamela Dean’s The Secret Country)

- worldbuilding with depth and texture — it feels explorable, immersive, like you could study it, like you could get lost, like other stories are going on just off the page (The Secret Countey gets a second honorary mention here, great book, I highly recommend)

- characters you can root for, especially ones that are slowly, quietly, unregretfully tearing themselves apart for something they care about (Kip Mdang from Hands of the Emperor, Newt from Designations Congruent with Things, Nico D’Angelo from the Percy Jackson books, Arthur in rageprufrock’s Presque Vu)

Building my aesthetic using astrology

Ok so as yall may know I recently found out i had the wrong birth time in my chart this entire time and in return not only did i find out im a cancer rising but all my placements are so different🥲. So what I plan on using is my natal chart, my venus pc chart, my ascendant chart and a few beauty asteroids and possibly those asteroid pc charts to officially curate my aesthetic (or at the very least start).

Brainstorming

Ok so first, when it comes to building an aestehtic u gotta have some kinda idea of whatever it is that you want. For me I've always been attracted to clothes that I'd normally see popular girls wear or like the new protagonist popular girl type of outfits aka pretty girl clothes. I love the soft girly flair looks. However on the flipside I also love like emo gothy punk dark girl looks such as Megan fox looks or like the hot villian or the "dark hair, light eyes" girl. The concept I really tend to be attracted to is like good girl looks to good girl gone bad kinda vibes or dreamy girl vibes like when u walk in school and the new girl is there and it looks like she has a whole halo around her. A few fashion inspos I have are yasmin from bratz clothes, 2000s popular/new girl looks, Cady looks from mean girls when regina and the girls transformed her to be a total hottie and she became like the new it girl of the school but with that being said regina george looks I love too!, recently I've been so attracted to gyaru looks!! Specifically kogal gyaru and the makeup, video vixen looks literally from the tan skin to dark eye makeup omg, nicki minaj no frauds era looks and pinkprint looks (I absolutely adored her natural era it's my fav one but coming in second is definitely her nicki lewinsky era!!), flora from Winx is also someone I adore fashion wise and personality wise. Rihanna is also an inspo while I do love her bad girl era especially when it was first starting out I always find myself feeling such a pull to when she had her good girl looks (before Chris brown knocked her top off basically), beyonce 2000s looks!!! I swear I want her look book so bad she looked so luxe and rich omg (her upgrade you video, diva video, Deja vu video and best thing I never had video are all concepts of looks and aesthetics I loved), Holly Madison 2000s looks and bimbocore looks!! Idk when I started falling in love with these looks but I definitely love them. whimsical serene looks I absolutely adore also so think like the blue fairy from tinkerbell and also princessy rich looks like yall know them Mangas where the MC be wearing them expensive outfits (the MC in Only for love manga is the PERFECT example her clothes literally gagged me every single time i swear). Oh and 90s looks and devil wears Prada looks!!

My Natal Chart

Ascendant - Cancer 14° (Taurus degree): so I'm ngl me having a water rising doesn't 100% surprise me after all I felt I related more to a Scorpio BUT that's not the point. Anyway, cancer to me gives me like softcore angelic vibes. So like silks, pearls, baby blue, white, pastels. All those remind me of cancer. Having some taurus influence I also get romantic vibes, rich girl vibes since taurus is ruled by venus, soft pink and/or greens. I'm getting soft romantic vibes from this and angelcore or soft baddie

Sun - Virgo 17° 3H: ok so automatically clean girl, with the leo degree influence maybe clean popular girl. However it being in 3H which is Gemini ruled somehow I see patterns like stripes, animal prints, checker print, electric colors, etc.

Also for whatever reason I keep picturing fur hence softcore and also the leo degree.

Venus - virgo 4° 3H: again soft clean girl looks and it being in 3H, innovative electric feeling. I also feel like clothes that are shapely? Not like shaping out the body but is nicely detailed in a refined way? Idk how to explain it.

Aphrodite - libra 5° 4H: again popular girl aesthetic like regina, Britney, etc but with it in 4H I can kinda see like soft elements into it like comfy cute looks.

Sirene - Scorpio 6° 5H: now ik its not shown but I have this placement and with it in Scorpio I was told it's like grunge vibes and dark feminine. The virgo degree so it's keen to detail, clean, sleek. And with it in 5H I'm getting like hot antagonist vibes? Like she's looks like a villian but glows??

Ascendant - pisces 10°: pisces to me already has like a whimsical, dreamy feel to them anyway such as flowy dresses, shimmer, ruffles..and with that capricorn influence giving it an old money influence and having Uranus and North node in 1H and Uranus rules eccentricity (but mine is in retrograde so idk) I'd say think like Cher when she was younger she looked certain dreamy but also very rich like she comes from money

The sun is in 5H so again soft rich popular girl since 5H is ruled by Leo AND the sun so yea.

Venus - Leo 26° (Taurus degree) 6H: again, clean well put together outfits and I'm definitely getting gold vibes from this!! Once again rich girl aesthetic I could be like those girls who take forever and a day to get ready always paying attention to detail but at the same time it's kinda effortless?

Aphrodite - Scorpio 19° (libra) 9H: I'm ngl I actually have no clue what this would be but I was told aphrodite Scorpio kinda gives vampire vibes soo maybe romantic vampire look? (Libra influence) but with it being in 9H is what I'm not sure of.

Sirene - Sagittarius 7° (libra degree) 10H: again I'm not sure on this one however I do know sag rules legs thighs butt as well as libra ruling the butt so maybe to the public eye those features on my body look sexy to others (10H) or outfits that define those areas on me can be appraling to the public eyes BUT ima need help with that one

Ascendant - Scorpio 1° (Aries degree): I am DEFINITELY getting dark feminine, sex symbol look here. And then mars being in 8H and pluto in 2H yes I can see it my mind instantly went to Megan fox, girl in a red dress (which ironically red look bloody good on me)

Aphrodite in Scorpio 26° 1H - still getting dark feminine with a touch of venus influence however for whatever reason it reminds me of when shalom Harlow wore that satin black dress or the saying "she's a Rockstar trapped in a supermodel body" yea that😭. do you remember a few years ago when we were all either mocking or feeling sympathy for national because they couldn't find a single good candidate for party leader? I'm getting deja vu

I mean yes, I do remember this period, but I'm not getting deja vu because the issue here isn't that there aren't good candidates. There are multiple strong candidates! This is a million light years from 2008 when Helen Clark had the caucus in an iron fist (respectful) for so long that nobody was left who COULD be a good leader. Chris Hipkins, Kiri Allan, Nanaia Mahuta, Michael Wood, even Andrew Little are all extremely competent and charismatic people (yes, even Little in the right circumstances). Megan Woods and Grant Robertson are entirely capable of doing the job well but they don't want it.

And that's kind of the rub. Jacinda Ardern is stepping down because the job has been so hard for the last five years it has burned her out, and - although she's officially denied this - the pandemic, following the March 19 terrorist attack, has led to a level of vitriol and open threat which is historically unprecedented. They cancelled the Waitangi Day barbeque this year because it wasn't considered safe for Ardern and senior ministers to be that close to the public. This is a country where up until very recently the Prime Minister was in the phone book.

So it's not a question of 'can't find a single good candidate', it's 'who the fuck would want this job, and what will taking it do to them?'. It's 'can the wāhine Māori risk putting themselves forward?'. When National was having its leadership woes nobody was worried that Todd Muller's replacement was risking assassination, except of the in-the-press style.

The hopeful note I will end on is this thread from political scientist Bronwyn Hayward, who sees opportunity and intelligent leadership in this resignation (while acknowledging the grimmer factors). I hope she's right.
